What we provide

Two services, both non-center-based

Supports are delivered in ordinary community settings. There is no facility and no day center — our Alexandria address is an office, not a service site.

Community Engagement

Support to take part in community life, at a maximum of one staff member to three people. Shops, restaurants, libraries, workplaces, neighborhoods — wherever the person wants to be.

Community Coaching

One-to-one support to build a particular skill, in the setting where it will actually be used, at the pace the person sets rather than the pace of a curriculum.

Non-center-based means exactly what it says. Supports are delivered in the same libraries, recreation centers, shops and parks that everyone else in Alexandria uses. Below are the public settings closest to us — the ones a week is most often built around.

We serve the City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, Prince William County and Arlington County. Transportation to and from community settings is provided as needed.

How a referral works

We take referrals through DD Support Coordinators and Community Services Boards, and directly from families. Virginia Medicaid enrollment is in progress — we welcome inquiries now and confirm start dates once enrollment is active.

We meet

Our Qualified Developmental Disability Professional meets the person and reviews the plan for supports with you.

We staff it

We accept only where we can genuinely start within 30 days, and we say so plainly if we cannot.
